It is time for a splash! This is not the first time a baby elephant has stolen the hearts of all the social media users on the internet. To add to the list, here is a recent incident from a Thailand nature park. The elephants in that area seem to be especially free and fun-loving. This time the young elephant saw a fountain of water come out of the ground. And like, all other young children, got invested in it with her child-like curiosity. Who has not seen children gathering around, and jumping and playing in the rain, or in front of a spray of water?

The incident had been caused by a broken pipe that was for supplying water in the Thailand Nature Park for Elephants. As a result, the pressure of the water made it come out like a fountain. For the baby elephant, it also doubled as a shower magically appearing from within the ground. After noticing the fountain of water, she immediately went towards the opening being created by the broken water pipe. Then her curiosity and playfulness took over as she began playing with the water and the hole from where it was coming.
The baby elephant’s antics have been especially welcome because of the summer heat. This year has seen record high temperatures in several parts of the world. That’s not all, as scientists predict it will only keep climbing in the next couple of years due to climate change. So, as every animal out there is trying to find a way to keep itself cool in the blistering heat, this baby elephant was no exception.
For humans, we have readily available destinations like water parks and pools. We even have machines like air conditioners keeping us cool at home. However, for animals, all they need is the embrace of nature. One way or another, nature’s creatures always seem to find a way to handle the weather without the need of humans, or any devices. And this baby elephant is not the single occurrence out there. A few days ago, an Indian photographer captured a tiny songbird taking a relaxing bath in the petal of a flower. That too showed how nature has everything designed for those who need it.

Another Heartwarming Tale
Nevertheless, to come back to this baby elephant, this incident occurred in a Thailand Nature Park. The young elephant can be seen having possibly the best time in her life. The pipe supplying water had broken and burst at the Nature Park for Elephants. The shower, which kept coming out like a fountain, even formed a small pool of water around it for the baby elephant to splash around in. The park’s baby elephant has a name – Wan Mai. As soon as she noticed it, she went over to investigate the stream. Soon, she can be seen trying to stop the water, or just be fascinated by the gushing spray.
The Elephant Nature Park originally posted the video on Twitter. In the caption of the video, they said that Wan Mai was having great fun playing with the water pipe that was broken. It was her personal fountain, and the privilege of having one made her more playful and even happier. Of course, the baby elephant’s joy when playing with the water is very heart-warming in the video.

The video soon took over the site for microblogging. It did not take long to be liked over 5,000 times. Most of the comments could only praise the adorableness of the young elephant as she frolicked around.
